Mary, Mary by James Patterson

In this book, celebrity mothers are found, dead, with their faces and the faces of their children slashed apart with a knife. At every crime scene, there are also three stickers of the letters: A, A, B. Alex Cross is determined to find the killer at the same time as trying to find time to spend with his family in Disneyland and his new girlfriend Jamilla Hughs.

Reason for Grade: There is a lot of vile language in this book. To me, the murders of the Hollywood mothers and their children in "Roses are Red" was extremely gruesome. There was also a small sex scene, which, if you weren't bothered by any other of James Patterson's sexual references, wouldn't really sway you away from liking the story. I would recommend that no one under the age of 14 reads this book.
