Jurassic Park by Michael Crichton

I'm thankful I read the second book before I read the first, because this one wasn't as good as I would have hoped. It did, however, have the raptor scene in the kitchen, which was my favorite part from the movie. It might not be fair for me to rip on this book too much, because I am getting kind of sick of Michael Crichton's writing style. I just can't read too much of an author for too long a period of time.
