Additional Comments: Though this book is supposed to be a science fiction horror story, I actually thought it was beautiful. Mary Shelley's language was very poetic and beautiful. The only problem was that the dialogue was unrealistically long. There were about thirty pages worth of just one person talking to another. Otherwise, incredible book. Honestly, it really reminded me of Gaston L'eroux's The Phantom of the Opera because the author does such a great job of creating sympathy for the monster at the same time as making you wonder if the protaganist is really good or bad.
