The Hunger Games

This was one of the best books I have ever read. Filled with violence and forbidden romance, this is a hard-core Romeo and Juliet storyline. This also has good morals and isn't really a thriller as it is haunting. It makes you wonder what the world will come to, and how society looks at violence and finds it appealing, even if it is forced upon those who don't appreciate it at all. Stars: *****
Once again, Suzanne Collins has created a futuristic world where the government is trying to control Katniss into marrying someone she isn't completely sure she loves. After going on a tour of death, she is once again thrown into the arena that has haunted her dreams for months, and once again, she is with Peeta who is madly in love with her, and she has some love for him as well. But what about her attraction to Gale at home? If she dies, will her family die from lack of food since she is the provider? Katniss is almost sure she wont be making it out alive once again, especially since if she lives, she'll have to have Peeta's baby, which might just be enough to make the president feel better about her and Peeta's attempted anti-government suicide. A haunting and chilling tale. Stars: *****
